Peer Review & Publication Ethics

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Heart and Circulation Research (HCR) undergo a single-blind peer review process.

Each submission is initially assessed by the editorial office for suitability and compliance with journal guidelines. Manuscripts deemed appropriate are then evaluated by independent expert reviewer(s) with relevant subject expertise. 

Final decisions regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection are made by the Editor-in-Chief based on reviewer recommendations and editorial judgment.

Publication Ethics

HCR adheres to internationally recognized standards of publication ethics.

The journal expects authors to ensure:

Plagiarism, data fabrication, and other forms of research misconduct will not be tolerated.
